The sky reminds me of everything that is
far away from me. The people, the places and the moments I yearn for. But then
the sky is the only connection between us too. Common for us all. Guarding us
from above and looking after us. Combining the past, present and the future.
All in one place.
We don’t remember the moment we fall in
love. It’s a process. Most of us don’t know when it started. I don’t think anyone
can pinpoint the exact time or day and say ‘that’s when I fell in love’ we
often don’t even notice the person the first time we see them and I hate the
fact that I starting writing about love while I was writing about the sky.
But that’s how love works. It makes room
for itself no matter what. It connects everything. Combines the impossible for
us. All in one place. Just like the vast blue sky. How else do you think people
of different ages and completely different mindsets relate to Faiz’s poems? What
other justification can you give for the fact that almost all of us agree that
love brings an inevitable heartache? What other excuse do I have for writing
about love all of a sudden while I was writing about the sky?
