I love rain. Probably most of us do. I remember reading somewhere in my social psych coursebook last semester that rain usually has a negative effect on people's moods. It's probably for the Western Cultures only. After all, most of the research we study is done by and done for white people. I don't think I agree with it. Rainy weather always feels like home to me. I have this strange sense of calm and familiarity about life when it's raining but a thought crossed my mind today that maybe melancholy is my familiar state. Maybe, whatever the rain makes me feel is what I'm made of, it is what my cells float in and what my muscles are dipped in.
